Sad City

So, I’m 23. I’m from Bangor, Northern Ireland. I first made music partly in a band, under the name Cirprise, Pascal?, then by myself under names including Andy Warhol’s 1966-67 Multimedia RoadshowProzun’s Fijin, later settling with Ser & Estar. I played some shows about Northern Ireland, the biggest of which was supporting Six Organs of Admittance in Belfast in 2003 (I think). I moved to Aberdeen to study English & Philosophy in 2005 and met Julian Lynch. Julian and I hung out a lot and worked on music a lot and played shows a little. We did a mini-tour of about 5 shows around England under Julian’s Lese Majesty name. During this time I was recording my own music, under Cirprise, Pascal?. I dropped out of uni in 2007 and moved to Glasgow to focus on music. There, I jammed with a few different friends but focussed mainly on recording my own stuff. In 2008, Underwater Peoples asked me to feature a track on their Summer Showcase Comp and in 2009, Ian Nelson featured a few tracks on his Friendship Bracelet Comps. Since then I have started jamming with my friend Ricky Egan (Tangles) and recorded a lot of my own stuff, some of which makes up my first EP, Gestures, which is being put out by Underwater Peoples.
